Two baby cards

Today I am showing you 2 baby cards I made. When I am making a baby card for no one in particular I always make a boy and a girl version. I can't help myself.

I made a fun fold card. It is kind of like a stepper card as you can see from the side. It give more dimension to a card then if I would have place the fence and the grass directly onto the poles of the clothing lines. The background and the patterns I used for the baby clothes are digital downloads from Nitwit Collections. The white fence is from Marianne Design. I made the poles to hang the clothes lines on myself by using a strip die. I rounded the top of the pole with a corner punch. I glued about 3 to 4 layers onto each other to give it the dimension to look like a pole. I think it worked great. The dies for the baby clothes are from My Favorite Things.
The sentiment is homemade by myself. On the back of the card there is plenty of room to write your own personal message

I will enter this in the following challenges:

Color Throwdown #829 - Blue/Lime Green/Green

A Gnome Flower Cart Birthday Card

This is my card for today. I made it into a birthday card. Spring just started and flowers are everywhere already. Just another excuse to bring out the gnomies again.

I made this gnome from several different sets of Globeland. I die cut a bunch of little strawberries and added them to his hat. He is holding a pot of roses. The flowercard and flowerpots are from Honey Bee Stamps. I printed the blue layer. I love how you can just get any color from your own printer. The sentiment I made myself. An overall cute birthday card in a spring/summer theme.

I will enter this card in the challenges below:

Thank you card

Today I am showing you a card looks simple and was really lovely to make.

I used a Waffle Flower stencil on 2 panels. I then cut the top on a bit smaller then the one underneath and this creates that lovely dimension. I also use a Waffle Flower cover plate to get that stitched pattern. As I liked the stenciled background I didn't want to cover it too much so I just used to sentiments of Carlijn Design that I die cut in black and for the shadow I just used white. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there. If translated to English the sentiments say Super Thanks.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Lavender Gnome Card

Today I am showing you another gnome card. I love gnomes and have many more that need to used. I used a sketch of the Creative Sketch Girls for the layout.

The papers gingham paper is from the Gnome Halloween collection of Nitwit Collections. I die cut a purple border with a border punch of Vaessen Creative. The triangle is out of green carstock. The log is LR0680 Tree Log of Marianne Design. The lavender gnome is from Globeland. As lavenders are purple I kept the card in a purple theme. I added a few pearls for the finishing touch and the sentiment is homemade and in English it says Best Birthday Wishes if you were to translate it.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Guest Designer Card

So I have the honor to be a guest designer over at the Seize The Birthday challenge blog. The theme is to put a milestone on your card

In my country turning 40 is considered a milestone so this is the card I made. I got the inspiration at the Papertrey Ink blog. The flowers are from Papertrey Ink and are Into The Blooms Gardenia. I cut two strips and the used a strip die to make the stitches in the strips. The bow is from Concord & 9th. The number with outline are dies from A Pocket Full Of Happiness Disco Numbers. I don't know the brand of the embossing folder but it is a really large one and I just cut the panel down to size. The sentiment is home made and foiled with gold metallic foil in my trusty laminator. For the finishing touch I added a few gold pearls.

Another Floral Card

Today I am showing you a card that I am not happy with. I believe in showing everything even the ones that didn't turn out all that great.

I used the Graceful Anemone flower die by Memory Box. It is a really beautiful floral die and the flower I am happy with. However I wish I used a different more softer background pierced panel. The sentiment die is from Alexandra Renke which I like because some of the german sentiment dies can also be used in my language since we are neighboring countries and we have some similarity in our languages.

So as I said just wanted to show this also.

A Floral Card

Today I am showing you a floral card I made a while ago.

I used the Into The Blooms: Cute As A Button die set by Papertrey Ink to make the flowers and leaves. I think the oval panel is by Craft Passion although not sure about it. The sentiment die is from Marianne Design LR0749. I cut it in white and the shadow layer is cut out of vellum.

A cute lovely card that can be given for various occasions so don't know yet who is gonna get this one.

Christmas Card for my Stash

Today I am showing you a card that I saw on Pinterest. Unfortunately I don't know how made the original but this is a pretty similar copy to the card I saw so if anyone knows let me know so I can give the creator of the original card credit for it.

I cut the houses out of red cardstock. I used pink for the window and door frames. The windows themselves I cut out of gold metallic cardstock. The roof are cut out of white glitter cardstock. The trees are cut out of the same colors I used for the houses. The deers are cut out of kraft cardstock and some scraps of tan brown cardstock. The dots on the bodies are of white cardstock. I hand cut a snowy border. The sentiment is homemade and foiled with gold foil using the laminator. The background paper is from Nitwit Collection.

Steampunk Gnome Card

Today I am showing you a card I made for challenges. I liked the sketch a lot and wanted to use this cute little steampunk gnome.

I used papers from Nitwit collection in what I consider menly colors. The gnome is unbranded but there is a whole range of them. I would love to know who make these but I haven't been able to find that out as of yet. I don't know what these little circles are called in English but I die cut these out of bronze metallic cardstock to give them that rusty metallic look. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there in matching colors.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:

Today I am showing the card I made for my husband's birthday. His birthday is on March 22nd. He was happy with the card. He is a big music fan so I always make one in a musical theme.

I made a center step card. I die cut the jukebox from Cottage Cutz Fifties Jukebox. The electric guitars are unbranded. I added a border of music notes in metallic silver cardstock. The sentiment is upside down also cut in silver metallic cardstock.

We had a wonderful day yesterday

Beautiful Pansy Card

Today I am showing you a lovely floral birthday card featuring a beautiful pansy in spring colors.

The pansy is from Papertrey Ink Into the Blooms Pansies. I have used yellow cardstock and inked it with Distress Oxide to give it some more shading on the petals and the leaves. I also stamped some spots on the center using a stencil. I then added a little bit of transparent nailpolish and used that as glue to hold some gold glitter in the center. I added the flower arrangement onto Papertrey Ink Love to Layer Scalloped Oval. I added a green panel on the base card. I made the sentiment myself and then foiled it with some gold foil. For the finishing touch I added a few pearls.

Another cute gnome card. This time is a gnome for luck. We don't celebrate St. Patricksday but do associate the color green with luck. I used a mug that is actually used as a Christmas mug but I made it in a good luck mug. The gnome is from Globeland. The gnome is holding big gold shamrock coins and at the bottom of the mug there is a post with gold coins so full that it spilled coins all over. The background paper is from Nitwit Collections. The sentiment is Dutch and homemade.

I die cut the leaves out of a light green cardstock and inked that with Peeled Paint Oxide Distress Ink. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug. I made a double satin bow with my bow maker and glued that to the leaves of the tulip. The sentiment is home made. I added some sequins in matching colors for the finishing touch.

Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a card I made for my brother in law. He is having his birthday. He really likes coffee a lot so I made this card with 2 coffee cups.

I used a background paper from Nitwit Collection Coffee Talk. For the coffee cups I used the dies
LLD Hot Cocoa Cups of My Favorite Things. The little coffee beans come from a set with coffee gnomes that seem to be unbranded. I used a large rectangle die from Surprise Creation to make that stitched edge.

Christmas Coffee And Donuts

I made this card for the challenge over at My Favorite Things. I really liked the sketch that you have to follow.

I cut a white panel from the Stitched Diagonal Center Strip Cover Up die. I used the Time To Make The Donuts die to make the Christmas donuts. and for the sprinkles I used gold metallic cardstock. The cup is from the LLD Hot Cocoa Cups and I made a small Christmas belt around it using some nesting dies. The sentiment is home made and foiled with some gold foil. The background papers are from Nitwit Collection. All dies are from My Favorite Things.

A Floral Hello

Today I am showing you a floral card. I used only 1 single layered flower die that I die cut about 20 times to create 10 double layered flowers. On each flower I made sure the petals were curling down and on the top layer I made sure the petals were curling up. This creates so much dimension. I added some 2mm brown pearls to the center of the flowers. The card base and flowers are in off white. I die cute the sentiment in gold metallic cardstock and since I this die didn't have a shadow layer I just fussy cut a piece of cardstock around the sentiment. The panel on the base card is a sort of olive green/grey. I used the gold pearls in the corners for the finishing touch.

Same but different

So today I am showing you 2 cards. The layout is the same and the rest is different.

I used digital collections from Nitwit Collections to make these cute relatively easy cards. They are so lovely. Even nicer in real then on the photo. The names of the collections are Beautiful Baby Girl and Beautiful Baby Boy. I used a background and put a rectangle stitch panel on it. I forgot which brand the panel is from. I then printed the floral arrangement about 4 times each and cut out less of each image. I layered them so you get that lovely dimensions. I added a few pearls in matching colors and a homemade sentiment to finish the card. I first made the pink version and then decided that I wanted to make it in blue as well.

Shamrock Shaker Card

So today I am showing you a shamrock shaker card.
So we don't celebrate St. Patricks Day but we do associate the color green with luck so I made this cute shamrock shaker card.

I embossed the green panel with an unbranded shamrock embossing folder. I then had some green strips left so I cut a shamrock out of that using the Pretty Pink Posh Shaker die. I cut a whole bunch of outlines and stacked them together to get the height to where it is high enough to hold the shaker embellishments.
For the shaker materials I used various colors of white, green and gold and used sequins, small 2 mm pearls and seed beads. I die cut the sentiment for green metallic cardstock so that it would match the card. The shadow of the sentiment and the card itself are in off white.

The beautiful papers are from the Hope collection of Lemoncraft. Such a beautiful collection as many of their collection are. The number dies are from Spellbinders Pooh's Alphabet, Numbers & More Etched Dies. The doily is from Craft Passion. The sentiments and names have been printed and die cut from dies from my stash.

Birthday Card with Lights

Today I also wanna show you this gorgeous birthday card I made for one of my clients that is turning 85. It is an interactive card and has lights and it actually works. I saw these card and just tried to make one myself and this is the result.

I used some digital paper and cut out the circle. I then added a text circle which says Happy Birthday that was made with a die of Marianne Design. I taped vellum behind the circle. I then added the fairy lights on the inside and taped the part with the battery to the right lower side of the card next to where that arrow is placed. I added layers of foam tape until the heigh was the same as the battery pack of the fairy lights. I then attach all the wires with scotch tape and then added the whole thing to a card base.
To decorate it I add the flowers that I also made myself and some twigs with a Martha Stewart punch.

Retirement Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made for an guy that finally gets to enjoy his retirement. Yesterday he worked his last day so hopefully he gets to enjoy this for a long time to come. And as a celebration I felt it was a nice idea for a card to make it with this big cake.

I used the Spellbinders Ganach Gateau to make that adorable cake with the cute macarons. I used white and shades of blue for the macatons. I did cut somewhat off the top of the cake part otherwise the card would have been so large because I really wanted to use the sticks on top with the dots garland. I made the sentiment myself and if you translate it to English it would say Time For Cake.

Christmas Village Scene

Today I am showing another stair step card. I like this fun fold so this time I am showing you a little Christmas village theme

I used white cardstock for the base. All dies are from Marianne Design except the little stars and the lamppost. I cut the moon myself with the help of 2 circle nestabilities since I didn't have a moon die but as you can see it can be made yourself quite easily. The snowflake design paper is also from Marianne Design. I used the help of a box die of Marianne Design to make the snowy borders. I cut that out of white glitter cardstock that I also used for all of the roofs. The sentiment was printed and die cut by myself but it was slighty damaged by the die cut label I used. It's ok it isn't too bad.

A Postage Collage Rose Card

I am still trying to find what style of cards I wanna make so so far I have just made all kind of different styles and techniques. Not that I am an expert at it. Sometimes I come across cardmakers and you instantly recognize their style. I don't seem to have that and maybe I never will. I need it mostly to be fun for me and definately not start to feel like a have to.

So today I am showing you a square postage stamp layout card. I am not sure which brand that die is as I got it second hand. I used Gina K Winter Rose stencil to make that beautiful rose. For the yellow I used Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber and for the green I used Bundled Sage and Forest Moss. All are Distess Oxide Inks. I added some sequins to the card for the finishing touch. I used a sentiment die of Marianne Design. I used black cardstock for the sentiment but I later wished I used a more softer color then black.

A CAS Birthday Card

Today I am showing a card that I made for client of mine. For my job I assist people in keeping their house clean when they are not able to fully to this themselves and when I started this job I gave them all a Christmas card. Everybody liked that gesture so I kept on doing that and decide it would be nice to also give them a handmade card on their birhdays. I always try to make something that suits their personality or what they like doing.

So this lady still like to do sewing. She recently started to make cards herselve so we have that in common now. I decided to make it a CAS card. The cover plate die is from Waffle Flower. I also die cut some bobbins and added some real crochet yarn on them. I die cut the needle from silver cardstock. It came from a die set with sewing gnomes that apparantly is unbranded. Added a couple of pearls in matching colors to finish the card.

I am sure she will like it.

Simple Fancy Fold Cards

So today I am showing you a this fancy fold card. It is easy to make and you can make different shapes with it as you can see in the card below. You fold your card base in half and then cut off part of the front panel. Then you add masking tape to all the edges. You then place a stencil of your choice (I used one from Waffle Flower) and ink it up. After you have finished with the stencil remove it and then carefully remove the masking tape. And then when you open the car up you can see the partially inked parts on the inside. To finish it I added a a die cut sentiment that I have put on some foam tape for a bit of dimensions. To finish it up I added some pearls.

And here is my other sample:
