A Card In A Box

Today I am showing you a card in a box card I made for our bonus grandson who turned 15. His birthday was actually on January 18th but they celebrated this yesterday.

I always left one side standing up and I added a board with tools on that. I die cut a whole bunch of tools for different die sets and tried to use all different ones.  On the front I added some half pearls for knobs on the drawers. I used kraft, red, black, blue and silver metallic cardstock for this box. A box like this is so easy to make and when it always looks great when everything pops up after it is taken out of the envelope. If you haven't tried one yet you should really give it a try. He was so happy to receive it.

I will be adding this to the following challenges

A Candle Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card I made for my sister in law. She turned 61 and I did put all 61 candles in the card.

The card was labor intensive because of all the individual cards. I had seen these and wanted to make one myself. It looks really nice when done. On the front I have this big Happy Birthday sentiment. Inside the card I also added a pocket to put the gift into. I think the candles are from Concord and 9th but I am not sure as I made this one quite some time ago.

A Birthday Card For My Sister In Law

I joined a facebook group called Mutsen Cluppie and they have a challenge to make a card like this and they provide the instruction as well as a youtube video. This is my result.

I used white linnen cardstock. The designer papers are from Lemoncraft. I die cut the large flower from one of my many flower die sets I have as well as the leaves. The other flowers are also handmade known as rolled flowers. They come in various models. The Cherry Blossom flower in ivory is also made by myself. I used to buy them but now I just make them myself. Nowadays I only make my own flowers. The 60 number die is from Alexandra Renke. The sentiment die on the label is from Marianne Design and I die cut that out of mat gold cardstock. So pretty. I then added a few fussy cut butterflies also from the Hope collection of Lemoncraft. Such pretty papers they have. The lace doily edges on the inside are from a punch of Vaessen Creative. I will be gifting this to my sister-in-law who is turning 60 in June

Another birthday card from Scraps

Today another simple birthday card made from leftover scraps of papers.

I took a base card and folded it into a square card. For the buttons I used up scraps of digital designer papers from the Abigail collection of Nitwit Collections. I die cut lot of buttons in white also and glue about 3 layers together for each button to give them more dimension. I did print out the pink background papers as my scraps were to small. This is how you keep getting more scraps. I die cut 2 banners. One in pink matching the designer papers and 1 with a homemade sentiment on it. I added them on the left top of the button panel and I also added a little bow made of pink twine.

Just a nice birthday card that is very suitable to mail because it is not so bulky like some of my cards.

Happy Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card. I got the inspiration at Pinterest for this card and decided to use the layout of the card for my own card.

I used papers of Lemoncraft for this. I think they are from the Dear Diary Roses collection. I used a Crealies border die to cut the nice edges of the middle background panel. I inked up all the edges of the papers with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.  I then added 2 scalloped circles on top of each other. On that I added 2 heart dies from a nesting die set. I added a flourish die cut on the top left in white. On that I added a few homemade flowers. I always love the cherry flowers that you see and I don't have these so I made my own in light blue with white centers. I really like how they turned out. I added a few pearls here and there and the foiled sentiment for the finishing touch. It says Happy Birthday if you would translate it.

Birthday Scraps Card

First of all Happy New Year wishes to each and every one. Today I am showing a birthday card made from leftover scraps of designer papers from Nitwit Collections.

The inspiration for this card is from Pinterest. A great source to get inspiration from. I made my own piercing template by using a piece of acetate. As it is see though you can line it up perfectly for the stitching. I took a white square and added the little squares onto them. I them pierced the holes for the stitching. The quilt squares are made from designer papers of the Annabelle collection of Nitwit Collections. I used some light blue thin crochet yarn to stitch the zigzag lines. When I completed it I added a vellum pointy banner where I printed a birthday sentiment on. I then took a piece of ribbon and a large bow and added that on the left. I added some foam tape on the back of the stitched panel for some dimension. I took a base card and added a piece of designer papers on that and then I added the stitched square on it. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there. I love the end result of this one.

A Birthday Card from scraps

Today I am showing you a card I made after seeing a similar one on Shabby Art Boutique. I had some scraps left so I made the flags for the banner with the designer papers from Nitwit Collection.

I printed some background papers and decided to add a stitched border. I pierced and stitched it by hand so no machine. I felt it gave it more of a shabby look. I then added the flag banner and added some die cut buttons to it. I die cut the buttons several times and glued them together to make it look more like real buttons. The text was printed on the design paper and then cut out. All and all a simple yet elegant birthday card.

I will add this card to the following challenges:

It has been a while since posting here

So it has been a while since I posted on my blog. The weather is just awful for taking nice photos in this season. The sun was up so I took my chance and got a chance to shoot some somewhat good photos. I will be happy when the sun will show its face a bit more

I made this card for one of my clients who is having her birthday on December 27th. I am actually on vacation but I had to pop into the store so I decided to personally put this in her mailbox. Considering I am having my vacation I am sure she will be surprised today.

I used the Zinnia die set of Spellbinders in purple tones. I don't know the brand for the embossing folder but it's lovely swirly and floral. The sentiment is homemade.

Oh and I am so happy I got the glimmer foil system from Spellbinders for Christmas. I have order a few foiling dies so I can't wait to play around with that. I will sure make some beautiful cards with that.

I will be adding this to the following challenges

A Soccer Rocker Card

Today I am showing you a rocker birthday card in a soccer theme. I made this for a 9 year old boy. Rocker cards are such fun folds to make.

I die cut a large circle, scored it an then fold it in half. I took some green soccer papers from Creative Fabrica. I die cut the large soccer ball from Marianne Design CR1691. The prize cut is from a gnome set of Globeland. I added a large number 9 out of green glitter cardstock. in the prize ribbon. The sentiment is homemade and it says "Big Birthday Hugs" translated to English.

An Acetate Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card I made from getting inspiration at Pinterst. I really like the card and this is my result.

I took a white base card and cut the half of a circle die out of the front of the card. I then added a piece of acetate behind it. To cover up I the acetate on the inside I added another piece of cardstock where I also cut out half of the circle die. I then took some designer papers and cut half the circle out that was a bit larger then the circle I used on the base card. I distressed the edges of the designer papers using a distress tool and then inked the edges with some Distress Ink. I cut some leaves in white as well as quite a lot of flowers. I inked the flowers with blue in the center and brown on the petal edges. I added some dots on each flower with a black fineliner and added pearls in the center after shaping the petals. I added a homemade sentiment on the acetate. To hide the tape I added a strip of cardstock on the inside. The sentiment appears to be floating. It did take some time to get all the flowers done. I do love the result for this beautiful card.

A Pop Up Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a fun pop up card. I saw this model on Pinterest and this is what I came up with when I tried it myself.

I took a square white base card. All the papers and graphics are from the digital kit Timeless Memories of Nitwit Collections. I did cut the flower bouquet a few extra times to get the 3D effect. I made some 2 pop up mechanisms to add behind the half circles to make them pop up when you take the card out of its envelop. It is a quick fun card to make and you can put on it whatever you want for any occasion so I will definately make more of these.

A CAS Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a CAS birthday card.

I used a made a white square base card. I added a little white square nested panel and added several die cut flowers in various sizes in white on it. I don't remember the brand but I have had these for a long time. I then inked up 3 of the white flowers with Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink. I also die cut some leaves in pale green cardstock. For the center I added a die cut button. I die cut it 3 times and layered them on top of each other to make it look like it's an actual button. I then added a small homemade sentiment. Translated to English it would say "Wishing You A Happy Birthday".

A Rainbow CAS Card

Today I am showing you a rainbow CAS card.

I took one of my many boho rainbow dies and decided to die cut half in gold metallic cardstock and the other half in black cardstock. I die cut each part 3 times and stack them on top of each other so you get a nice dimension. I stamped a scripty birthday wish below the rainbow. I rounded the corners of the white panel and base card using a corner punch.

Autumn Sunflower Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made from inspiration of Tina Smith of Cards And Coffee Time. She made this beautiful card and I did my own version of it using her tutorial over at the Youtube channel she has.

I took a white base card and added a light blue panel on it. On the panel I added 6 wood planks that I inked up here and there using some brown ink. I then took the dainty sunflower of Simon Says Stamp and cut 6 sunflowers so I used 2 layers per flower. I inked them in yellow tones using Distress Oxide Ink. I used brown ink for the centers. I die cut some leaves from one of the Into The Blooms sets of Papertrey Ink. I popped everything on foam tape and for the finishing touch I added some sequins and a Dutch sentiment which says Congratulations if translated to English.

A Gate Fold Card

Today I am showing you a gatefold card that I made as a guest designer for DO-Al(l) Kreatives challenge #103. The challenge is to make a gatefold card. We would be very happy if you also join in this challenge

I made a gatefold card in a birthday theme. I added a belly band to the gatefold. I used white linnen textured card stock as my base card. The designer paper is from Lemoncraft. I distressed all the edges with the Tim Holtz distress tool. I alsmost added nothing to the card itself because the papers are already so beautiful on its own so I paid more attention to the belly band. The belly band is a bit large then the base card. I glued the ends together and hid the crease behind that lovely doily circle which is from Lady E designs. I added some white crochet yarn bows with longer tails onto the circle as well as leaves and roses. All are handmade by myself so no storebought ones. For the finishing touch I added the sentiment and some pearls. I don't know the designer of the sentiment stamps I used. There is plenty of room to stamp an additional sentiment or write a personal message on the inside later.

I will be entering this in  the following challenges:

Today I am showing you a another card being a guest designer at the 4 Season Swap Challenge. There is still time to join in if you want to participate. The theme is Rainbow. This can be an actual rainbow or just rainbow colors.

I made a gnome using several gnome sets of Globeland. I put him on top of a rainbow. I added a vertical happy birthday sentiment but I don't know the brand for that one. I gave the gnome a heart to hold and give lots of love to the birthday boy or girl.

I love making rainbow themed cards and visitors of my blog know I have a small obsession when it comes to gnomes.

A Rainbow in Flowers Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made after seeing something similar on Pinterest.
I love the rainbow order the flowers are on the card.

I used a white card base. I added a white panel on using foam tape to get a bit of dimension. The flower is from Simon Says Stamps. The top layer of the flowers are all seperate petals so it was quite fiddly to do. In the middle I added a white 5mm flatback pearl. The sentiment is homemade and printed. I inked up the edges with black ink to hide the white cardstock it was printed on. In English it says Cozy Birthday Wishes. I have made more cards in rainbow order. They are too covered up to be a CAS card but it does look a bit CAS.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

A Requested Birthday Card

Today I am showing a birthday card made upon request. For my job that brings in the money to afford my hobbies I assist people, mostly elderly, that need help keeping their house clean. One of my clients asked me to make a birthday card for her great grandchild who is having her very first birthday.

She took a look at all the photos in my albums on Pinterest and she like a similar one like this so I remade it for her. Ofcourse a few small differences as I never ever make the same card twice. Sometimes they seem alike but I always do small changes so it will guarantee the uniqueness of the card.

All I used it cardstock in white, pale pink, pink and hot pink tones as well as some metallic pink. I die cut a whole bunch of balloons, hearts and butterflies in various sizes from different die sets of Spellbinders, Pretty Pink Posh and Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is homemade and printed myself. To hide the white cardstock the sentiment was printed on I added some black ink around the edges. This fun fold is known as a Z-fold card.

I will enter this in the following challenge:

A Rainbow Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a cross stitch birthday card.

I saw this cross stitch pattern of a boho rainbow. I drew it myself in PC Stitch 11. I don't mind buying complicated patterns but this was easy enough to make myself. I can also easily change the colors if necessary. I stitched the pattern onto 18 count white Aida fabric using DMC embroidery floss. I ironed the piece to make it nice and flat as possible. Then I added a white passe partout frame onto the design and I added it to a kraft base card. I then made the sentiment into word and printed it out. I used a die cut heart button of Alexandra Renke and added the sentiments underneath. I tied a piece of hemp rope to the center of the heart button. I think this will make a nice birthday card for a men.

I will enter this to the following challenges:

A Floral Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a floral birthday card.

I used a white base card. On top of that I added a die cut panel that I die cut twice and then glued together so you get mor dimension on it. I added a small white rectangle panel on it. I splattered some paint on the panel before I added the flowers and leaves on it. The flowers are from Spellbinders Gorgeous You collection. I added some ink to the middle and edges of the petals to give it a bit of shading. The sentiment is homemade and printed. I used a little banner die to cut the sentiment out.

For now I will keep this for my stash. Always handy to have some in case you need them.

I will be adding to this to the following challenge:
