A Black Cas Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a black christmas card in CAS style after getting back from a lovely 8 day vacation in Austria. At first I was afraid it would be a depressing card because of all the black but it is really elegant.

I made a black base card and added a smaller square panel on it. I then die cut a scalloped panel in black. I added 2 foiled sentiments by Spellbinders on the bottom and right side of the panel. I masked off the sides and sentiments and then added some splatters using some gold metallic paint. I die cut the christmas tree out of gold metallic cardstock and 3 times more in black cardstock. I glued them all together to give it more dimension.

I may even make some more colored CAS cards. I usually do white but colored CAS cards are also very elegant.

A White Christmas Tree Card

Today I am showing this white christmas card. 

Another older die set that I still had to use. I also like stitching dies among so many other things. I really don't have a certain style, technique or brand. I love all of it so it is hard too choose.

I die cut the Spellbinders Stitched Holiday Tree dies in white and gold metallic cardstock. I used gold metallic thread by Madeira to stitch the tree with. I used the Pine Sprays Hot Foil Plate by Spellbinders to foil the white panel with gold foil. I put some foam pads behind the tree and added it to the foiled panel. I added a stamped and die cut sentiment for the finishing touch.

Christmas Baby Card

 

Today I am showing a baby Christmas card.

I have so many die set that I only used once of still haven't used at all and even though they are older they are still so nice to use so from time to time I will get out those older die sets.

I cut two scalloped circle dies and on one of them I added a scoreline about 1,5 cm on the top. I then glued that onto the other circle to make a nice base card. I then taped some wood grain paper by Lemoncraft and a christmas themed digital paper of Nitwit Collection together and cut a circle out if with my circle die. I cut 2 small white strips to add as a baseboard. I used dies from Marianne Design for the baby, the toy and the cloth that the baby is sitting on. I used dies fro Honeybee Stamps for the garland and bow. I finished the card with a homemade sentiment strip.

A Christmas Tree Cat Card

 

Today I am showing you a card that is actually not my idea so I made a similar one with a few changes.

I cut a rectangle base card. I added a white glitter panel on top of that and then a snowflake patterned paper by Studio Light. The christmas tree, the gifts, the ornaments, the cat and the banner are all from Marianne Design. The poinsettia is from Spellbinders. I used all matching colors from Studio Light paperpads as the colors fits nicely together. The sentiment is a foil die by Carlijn Design

Christmas Window Card

Today I am showing an arched shaped Christmas Card

I cut a base card from an arch panel to make the double sided card. I then cut a single arched panel and embossed it with a snowy wall embossing folder. I cut a window out of red cardstock of the Spellbinders Vista View Window die set. I put a piece of acetate behind the window so it looks like it has an actual window although you can't really tell from this photo. The greenery and the flowers are from various Spellbinders christmas die set. I added a bit of Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink in the middle of the little poinsettias and added a transparant pearl in the middle.

An Arched Trio Panel Card

Today I am showing a 3 piece arched panel card. You can fold this as a zigzag to fit it into the envelop.

I die cut 3 arched panels. I then took a strip of 33 x 8,5 cm of white cardstock and scored it at 11 and 22 cm and folded the score lines. I then glued the panels onto the cardstock strip. I added some craft cardstock panels onto the white panels. I also cut 3 medium blue cardstock arch panels and took a stencil and added snowdrops with TCW stencil butter and let that dry before adding anything else onto it. Unfortunately there were some tiny smooches but hey it's a handmade card so it will have to do. It just didn't feel right to throw it away and start over.

After it was dry I added some snowbanks out of white glitter cardstock. All die cuts are from Marianne Design. I die cut the Arctic bear twice. I used the Winter Sport Accessoires to dress one bear with skies and the other with the snowboard. I used some silver metallic cardstock for the glasses, ski poles and zipper at the vest. The fence is from the Eline's Winter Accessoires. The text is a hot foil die by Marianne Design.

Oh Christmas Tree

I wanted to make a CAS style card but this time not just a lot of white in it. 

I took a white base card. On top of that I added a kraft panel that I splattered with white paint. I added some trees of Alexandra Renke. I added TWC stencil butter in a green tone onto some cardstock. I wanted to cut out 5 trees but because I was impatient and I didn't take the time for the stencil butter to completely dry I ripped two of the 5 trees. Always take time to let it dry. So I just used the 3 trees that were fine. There is a really nice shine to them but it is hard to capture that on the photo. I added a few stars on top of the tree and finished the card of with a sentiment. I die cut about 3 layers for the sentiment to give it some depth.

A Winter Themed Christmas Card

 

Today I am showing you a winter themed christmas card.

I used papers from Scrap And Me. I used the Tim Holtz distress tool on all the edges. I then inked all the sides with Distress Ink. I then stitched the DP with ecru embroidery floss by DMC. I added some wax rope behind the Tilda image. I use a Magnolia stamp called Winter Tilda. I colored here with Ohuhu alcohol markers.  I added some glitter to the wooly balls on the hat. I added a whole bunch of die cut snowflakes to the card and added a pearl in the middle in various sizes. And also a snowflake border by Papertrey Ink. And last but not least I added a homemade sentiment strip to the top left corner.

Back on blogger land

So I was a bit tired of blogging so I took a little blogging break. I am now back and I may not post as much as I did before I took this break I will add some things from time to time. The weather is really hot. We are having multiple heat waves this summer and it is just simply to hot to do any crafting at all so I don't have the many to show. Anyways onto the card I am showing in this post.

I saw this on instagram but in a blue version. I forgot to write down the lady that it is from otherwise I would write it in this post. Credit given where credit is due. So this not at all my idea. I just used some different dies and mine is in purple tones.

I embossed the panel with a quilt like embossing folder that you can use as a christmas background. I sprinkled some gold paint splatters on it. I then added the oval white panel to the middle. I used a lot of different Spellbinders christmas die set for this one. They are older sets then the one the lady used but you can use your older stuff perfectly for this one. I used gold foil for the foiled sentiment and cut that out with the matching banner die that comes with the set.

A Christmas Card

 

Today I am showing you a christmas card in non traditional colors.

I choose dark gray and white for my colors. I cut a dark grey cardstock and folded it in half to make the base car. On top of that I added a text designer paper of Nitwit Collections and I cut the corners with a corner punch. On top of that I added a die cut square from a nesting scallop die set. I popped it on some foam for dimension. I added some wax cord underneath the little white tree. The tree is from a Papertrey Ink Trees Of Cheer die set. It has so many cut little dies that you can combine really nice. I added a small little star on top of the tree that I die cut out of silver metallic cardstock. The card pretty much speaks for itself so I added no sentiment to it.

A Winter Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a winter Christmas Card.

I got a hot foil machine for Christmas so I can't wait to start putting that to use. However I didn't have one when I created this card. I printed a music note pattern with my laserprinter and the added the gold foil on it using my laminator. I die cut a bunch of trees from different brands and added some ink on the outer edges. I added foam tape to some of them to create dimension. I then added 2 strips of paper where I torn the edges. I die cut a few leaves and a bunch of snowflakes in white and gold. I added all the die cuts and a piece of white wax cord. I added a few pearls for the finishing touch. The sentiment was printed with my other printer.

A Snowman Card

 

Today I am showing a card that I made from inspiration of an AI image. Sometimes I see AI images and I just try to make my card look like the AI image. Instead of hating it I am trying to embrace AI in this way. At the bottom I will share the AI image I used for inspiration and if you want let me know if I pulled it off or not.

I added some ink on the background panel. I also made a snow border but you can't see it anymore because of all the die cuts I added onto the card. I added some trees on that and I decorated the tree with some ornaments of Marianne Design. Behind the snowman I added some presents with ribbons. The presents are dies from Alexandra Renke. And the star of this card is ofcourse the snowman which is an older die set of Marianne Design. I added a home made foiled sentiment which says Winter Greetings if you translate it to English. And I added splatters so it looks like it is snowing.

Christmas Mail for You

 

Today I am showing you a festive christmas card. It will be for next year though as I already mailed and delivered all the cards for this year.

I used designer papers from Nitwit Collection. I added a piece of white cardstock on top of that. I then added the mailbox of the Greetery. I made that quite a while ago and it was still laying around so now I decided to finally make a card with it. I also used the post stamps of the Greetery that I embossed using gold embossing powder. I added some handmade flowers on top. The flowers are from the poinsettia set of Elizabeth Craft Design. I also added some gold glitter to the white flower. I die cut some envelopes from the Greetery also in colors that matched the card.

I did make the card from inspiration I got from Kelly Lunceford who made a card like this in blue with wisterias hanging over the mailbox.

A Christmas Scrapcard

 

Today I am showing you a christmas card in scrap style. I took digital papers from different collections of Nitwit Collections. I distressed all the edges and added stitching on the flower paper. I pierced the holes by hand and also the stitching is done by hand. This took quite a bit of time but it looks so pretty.
I die cut some labels and heart. I punch some holes in the top of the hearts after I added some white ink on the edge of each heart. I then added some jute thread though the labels and the hearts. 
I added some lace and the hearts and labels on top of that. The sentiment was stamped but I don't remember the brand for this one. The inside is decorated as well to match the front.

It is a bit heavy to mail this one but I can always hand gift this to someone.

A Kitty Cat Christmas Card

Today I am showing you the card I made as a guest designer for the 52 Weeks To Christmas challenge. The theme is to make a christmas card featuring a cat, dog or hamster. I made it into a rocker card.

I used a bucket of Elizabeth Craft Design. I added a cat from Marianne Design in the bucket. I added this onto some designer papers of Nitwit Collection. I used the text circle of Marianne Design and added a red circle behind it so you would see the white words better. To finish it off I added some holly leaves with berries.

A CAS Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made from a cute graphic that I had as a leftover and I just didn't wanna throw it away. 

The oh so cute santa bear holding a gingerbread cookie is from Creative Fabrica. I die cut the graphic using a circle nesting die. I cut a white rectangle panel and took a bigger circle out of it on the upper part to make the window for the circled graphic. I also embossed a strip using my embossing pen. I then popped the panel onto some foam and also the circle with the graphic. I added it onto a white rectangle base card. I die cut a sentiment with my label die to finish the card. I kept it simple because I want the cute santa bear to be the focal point of this card.

Christmas Sketch Card

 

Today I am showing a card I made using the sketch at the Cheerful Sketches challenge. I still had some images left and decided to use this cute bear holding a mini christmas tree.

I used designer papers for the sketch of Nitwit Collections. I actually used scraps I still had because I hate to throw away leftover pieces. I found some that matched together well along with that cute image of Creative Fabric. I only added a sentiment on top and that is it. Not a lot to say about this one.

A Card Made From A Sketch

 

Today I am showing you a card made using the sketch over at 52 Weeks To Christmas challenge.

I made a base slimline card out of kraft cardstock. On that I added digital papers from the Merry Moments Collection of Nitwit Collections. The graphic is from Creative Fabric. They have so many cute and adorable graphics. I inked the circle along the edges with a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Ink. I don't know the brand of the bow I used. The sentiment is homemade by me.

Another CAS Christmas Card

 

Today I am showing another christmas CAS card. If I keep going in the speed I am I will have enough cards for next year as well LOL. 

I made a square base card. I die cut a panel of Alexandra Renke with tiny stars aroung the borders so felt that suited the christmas theme a lot. It is king of hard to see in the photo but underneath the christmas moose I added some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. The die cut moose is from Cat Love Craft. They have several cute dies that I can't wait to use. I stamped the sentiment with Archival Ink by Ranger. And added a few sequins for the finishing touch.

A CAS Christmas Card

 

Today I am showing you a CAS card that I made from inspiration over at Pinterest. I am a member of Creative Fabrica and just recently they have these so adorable graphics available. There are many in this style already and they are perfect to use for cards like the one I just made here.

I made a square base white card. On that I added a panel with the text printed on it by using Word. I then took a small square to make the window in the panel for that cute graphic. I took a small strip below to add the score lines to it. I just used my scoring board for that. I then tied a piece of satin burgundy yarn and I made a small bow to put in the middle on the yarn. I added foam tape on the back of the entire panel and then added that cute graphic behind it. I then added the panel to the base card and my card is ready.
