A Skiing Mouse Cross Stitch Card

So like it is so hot over here and yet I am still making Christmas cards. I am actually sitting in my yard under the tent because it too beautiful to stay inside all day. I will be staying inside the next 3 days as the weather is going to be too hot to be sitting outside and it will actually be a lot cooler to stay indoors. So right now I am working a lot on my computer sitting outside enjoying the peace and quite of nature.

I used a piece of white 18ct Aida linnen to stitch the adorable skiing mouse on. The pattern is from the book #203 Mouse-L-Toe of Dimensions. I used DMC threads for the colors. When I finished it I ironed the piece to get it as flat as possible. I took a red panel and added a circle die into a nesting rectangle die to cut out the circle. I added a smaller white border under the red panel. I added a  piece of white cardstock behind the pattern. I also embossed a strip with a christmas pattern on the lower part of the red panel. I attached everything together and added it onto a kraft base card. I made the sentiment myself for the finishing touch. This is one for my stash again.

A Floral Card

Today I am sharing this cute floral card. I got the idea from the Papertrey Ink blog.

I inked up a panel with blue ink. On top of that I added a die cut pattern panel. I inked that up with the same color blue but more thick until it was the blue was dark enough. I then added the darker blue panel onto the light blue panel and I love the effect. It is almost like designer paper except it isn't. I added a white scalloped oval panel from Loved to Layer of Papertrey Ink. I also die cut the flower from the Into The Blooms Daisies set of Papertrey Ink. I cut the envelops from the snail mail set of Spellbinders. I added ink to everything for a more realistic look. I am still practising with the inking. I don't know the brand for the sentiment but I love it. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there in matching yellow color.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

A Summer Card

Today I am showing you a summer card made with a cute beach bag. I added a phone, beach ball, sunglasses, a straw hat, flipflops and a couple of shells onto it. The stitch motif on the background panel kind of looks like water floating.

I added some blue ink to the background panel. On top of that I added all the die cuts of the lovely beach bag set of Papertrey Ink. It was fiddly to add all the pieces but it really looks lovely. An over all cute summer card that can be used for many occasions. I added a home made sentiment that if translated to English it would say Happy Summer. For now I will be adding this to my stash.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A Christmas Rocker Card

Today I am showing a card I created as a guest designer for the Rudolph Days challenge

I decide to make a rocker card. I love this type of card a lot. I cut a large circle that I folded in half.
I added a piece of digital papers from Nitwit Collections. I took a smaller white circle that I embossed with a wall pattern On top of that I added a smaller scalloped circle and cut a piece out of it with a smaller circle so you can see the embossed wall pattern. I die cut a lovely gnome of Carlijn Design. He is holding a present that I die cut from the Delivering Joy die set of Spellbinders. I added my own handmade sentiment that I cut out with a label die. I added some black ink around the edges of the strip to hide the white cardstock it was printed on.

I was happy and honoured to be a guest designer and hope you will all join in this challenge. It is so fun.

I will also enter this in the following challenge:

Another Cross Stitch Christmas Card

Today I am showing you my newest cross stitch card in Christmas theme.

It is a Honeypots bear by DMC. I stitched the pattern onto white Aida 18ct linnen. I used DMC embroidery floss for the stitches. I love doing it but it is very hard to see for me. So I am thrilled that when it was my birthday yesterday I got a magnifier plate with lights and all. I can't wait to give it a try to see if it going to be easier to do because I so love to do cross stitching. I framed the card so it looks like a painting but it is ofcourse still a card.

I will be entering this in the following challenge

I used some digital papers from the collection Sweet Pea and the collection The Details of Nitwit Collections. I used Marianne Design COL1427 to make the mice. The wedding clothes are from COL1491 of Marianne Design. The numbers and letters are also from Marianne Design and Carlijn Design. A Crochet Rainbow Card

Today I am showing you yet another card being a guest designer at the 4 Season Swap Challenge. I love rainbow cards so much. I told her to pick one of them but she decided to show them both so here is the second one I made.

I use to make crochet appliques for sale in my Etsy shop. However it was no longer interesting enough to keep it open so I closed the shop back in December. I still have a large amont of appliques left and I decided to start using these myself in my card making. This time I am adding this cute crochet rainbow applique for this card.

I used some digital rainbow papers from Creative Fabrica. I added a rectangle nesting die panel on it that I popped up using some foam tape on the back to give it some dimension. I added the crochet rainbow using my glue gun. The best glue ever so it will not fall of the card later. I recently won this cute stamp and die set of Carlijn Design so I used the words of the stamps and I die cut the letters of the word REGENBOOG which means RAINBOW in English in colors of the rainbow.

I made a gnome using several gnome sets of Globeland. I put him on top of a rainbow. I added a vertical happy birthday sentiment but I don't know the brand for that one. I gave the gnome a heart to hold and give lots of love to the birthday boy or girl.

Christmas Birdhouse Card

At this moment I am not making a lot of cards because the weather is so lovely and I spend a great deal of time outside. We do a lot of bike rides several times a week when the weather permits it or I just sit in my garden and then I am unable to do any papercrafting so at bit fewer posts at the moment. I do try to make some cross stitch cards because that I can do even outside sitting in my yard under my party tent. As far as theme I don't mind making christmas cards all year long.

So today I am showing you another card I made for Christmas. I made the background paper myself. I didn't use AI for that I still make it myself from scratch using PSP. That way I can get the perfect color that I am looking for. The Merry is from an alphabet of Lawn Fawn. I die cut the letters twice and stacked them together to get a bit of dimension and then I added only the top of the letters into another color. The top and bottom of the birdhouse are from Pretty Pink Posh. The little house itself I made myself because I needed it to be a bit larger. I then used a circle die to cut the circle in the middle. I stacked the birdhouse onto foam for dimension. The leaf branch is from a swing set of Studio Light. And the birds are from Poppy Stamps. I added some ink here and there to make them look more real. The snowflakes are from several different die set.

I love combining die set from more then just 1 brand as I feel all brands have something lovely to offer and you can really use all of them together to make that one special card.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:
Peace On Earth Christmas #90 - Anything Christmas Goes
Sparkles Christmas June 2025 - Include the word Merry

A Rainbow in Flowers Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made after seeing something similar on Pinterest.
I love the rainbow order the flowers are on the card.

I used a white card base. I added a white panel on using foam tape to get a bit of dimension. The flower is from Simon Says Stamps. The top layer of the flowers are all seperate petals so it was quite fiddly to do. In the middle I added a white 5mm flatback pearl. The sentiment is homemade and printed. I inked up the edges with black ink to hide the white cardstock it was printed on. In English it says Cozy Birthday Wishes. I have made more cards in rainbow order. They are too covered up to be a CAS card but it does look a bit CAS.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:
Art Nudge - June Prompts

Another Christmas Card

Today I am showing a christmas card for my stash for upcoming christmas. I always like making christmas cards even in the summer when the sun is shining bright.

The base card is white. I put a kraft panel on it. On the kraft panel I added a piece of designer paper of Nitwit Collections and the wood designer paper is from Lemoncraft. The bears peeking behind a large mug are from Cottagecutz. I die cut 2 bears. The large mug with the marshmallows and the candy cane are of Pretty Pink Posh. I die cute 2 bells in gold metallic cardstock. I also added some poinsettia leaves but don't remember the brand for these. This also goes for the packages. I forgot the brand for that too. The sentiment is homemade and foiled with gold foil.

I feel this is a lovely cute christmas card to get and I am sure I will put a smile on the face of the recipient.

A Requested Birthday Card

Today I am showing a birthday card made upon request. For my job that brings in the money to afford my hobbies I assist people, mostly elderly, that need help keeping their house clean. One of my clients asked me to make a birthday card for her great grandchild who is having her very first birthday.

She took a look at all the photos in my albums on Pinterest and she like a similar one like this so I remade it for her. Ofcourse a few small differences as I never ever make the same card twice. Sometimes they seem alike but I always do small changes so it will guarantee the uniqueness of the card.

All I used it cardstock in white, pale pink, pink and hot pink tones as well as some metallic pink. I die cut a whole bunch of balloons, hearts and butterflies in various sizes from different die sets of Spellbinders, Pretty Pink Posh and Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is homemade and printed myself. To hide the white cardstock the sentiment was printed on I added some black ink around the edges. This fun fold is known as a Z-fold card.

I will enter this in the following challenge:

A Rainbow Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a cross stitch birthday card.

I saw this cross stitch pattern of a boho rainbow. I drew it myself in PC Stitch 11. I don't mind buying complicated patterns but this was easy enough to make myself. I can also easily change the colors if necessary. I stitched the pattern onto 18 count white Aida fabric using DMC embroidery floss. I ironed the piece to make it nice and flat as possible. Then I added a white passe partout frame onto the design and I added it to a kraft base card. I then made the sentiment into word and printed it out. I used a die cut heart button of Alexandra Renke and added the sentiments underneath. I tied a piece of hemp rope to the center of the heart button. I think this will make a nice birthday card for a men.

I will enter this to the following challenges:

Today I am showing a card that I made as a guest designer for the 4 Season Swap Challenge #93. The theme is rainbow. This can be colors or an actual rainbow on your card. I made more cards that I will show later this month. Please join in for this fun and creative challenge.

I die cut a bunch of strip in rainbow order. On top of that I added 3 cloud border. I cut one of them out of vellum so you could see more of that lovely rainbow colors and the other 2 out of white cardstock. I used a bit of ink for the blush and added a face to one of the clouds. The sentiment in homemade and printed. I added some black ink around the sentiment to hide the white cardstock I printed the sentiment on. Translated it would say You Make Me Happy.
