A Thank You Card For A Knitter Or Crafter

Today I am showing you a card I made for the challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches. I have some friends that love crafting as well so I am sure I can give this to one of them at some point.
I die cut balls of yarn in the colours that you need to use. I don't know who the designer is of this one because it was gifted to me. I added little white bands around the yarn and placed a small metallic heart in the middle of the band. I stamped a sentiment in black of Gina K Designs and die cut that out for the finishing touch. I did pop up the sentiment and some of the yarn balls on some foam tape.

Autumn Sunflower Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made from inspiration of Tina Smith of Cards And Coffee Time. She made this beautiful card and I did my own version of it using her tutorial over at the Youtube channel she has.
I took a white base card and added a light blue panel on it. On the panel I added 6 wood planks that I inked up here and there using some brown ink. I then took the dainty sunflower of Simon Says Stamp and cut 6 sunflowers so I used 2 layers per flower. I inked them in yellow tones using Distress Oxide Ink. I used brown ink for the centers. I die cut some leaves from one of the Into The Blooms sets of Papertrey Ink. I popped everything on foam tape and for the finishing touch I added some sequins and a Dutch sentiment which says Congratulations if translated to English.
I will be adding this to the following challenge:

Gingerbread Plane Christmas Card

Today I am showing you another card made with the Candy Christmas Collection of Spellbinders. I really like this collection a lot as it's so cute and whimsical.
This is the Gingerbread Plane & Banners Etched die set. I added several clouds on some blue cardstock. The gingerbread plane has pink and red icing on it. I choose for the Happy Holidays banner to add behind the plane. A really quick and fun card to make and a joy to give to someone later this year.

A Christmas Shaker Card

Today I am showing you a Christmas shaker card.
I die cut a postage rectangle out of a piece of rectangle cardstock. I then added the acetate behind it and added foam tape around the edges to create the shaker part. I embossed another white panel using a snowflake embossing folder with diagonal squares slightly larger then my shaker window. I added shaker materials such as beads, pearls and sequins in the middle of the embossed panel and then carefully added the shaker window on top of it.
I then die cut some trees in red and white tones and added these to the shaker window. And for the final touch I added the sentiment of Carlijn Design to finish the card. It says "Merry Christmas" if you was to translate it to English.
I will enter this in the following challenges:

A CAS Baby Card

Today I am showing you a clean and simple baby card.
I guess this one speaks for itself but I will give a short explanation how I made this card.
I used a small embossing border with stars on a white panel. I then added a piece of white satin ribbon across the panel. I added some die cut hearts and stars in blue and white tones. After adding these to the panel I glued a white satin bow on top. I added a few baby blue pearls on the ribbon. And I die cut a blue Baby sentiment from Papertrey Ink to finish the card. I really like how it turned out.

A Fun Fold Pop Up Card

Today I am showing you a pop up bridge card. I followed a tutorial of Jennifer McGuire.
I used white cardstock for my base. I glued strips of the colors I used for the flowers to connect the front panels. I added some flowers that I die cut from Papertrey Ink Into The Blooms Cute As A Button die set. I used green, pink and peach for the flowers. The sentiment is from Marianne Design LR0749. I cut that out of gold metallic cardstock. A quick fun fold card that will pop up as soon as you take it out of the envelope.

A Floral Card

Today I am showing you a floral card. There is a little story as to how I made the background so read on it you are interested in that.
I don't have a hot foil machine. I have several die cut machines but none that I can use the hot foil machine with so I came up with another solution and to find out if it would work you need to try it right. So here is what I did to get that gold foil border on my background.
I printed a green colored digital paper from Nitwit Collections. It was from the collection Snow Family. I used my inkjet printer for this part. I found a nice border graphic on Creative Fabrica and I then placed the background paper I just pinted into my lasterjet printer and printed the border in black onto the background paper I just made. I then added a piece of gold foil onto the background paper and ran it twice through my heated laminator. I then couldn't wait to reveal it to see if my idea work. Guess what it did. It looks so beautiful and shiny. If in future any of my current machines will need replacement I may buy a Spellbinders machine but for now it works like a charm.
So and for the rest of the card I used the leaves of Papertrey Ink Into The Blooms Anemone set. I inked these with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain and added some pearls on it. The flowers I made some time ago so I don't remember the brand. I was giving glitter centers a try and I saved them to use later and they were perfect for this card. The white panel is from Papertrey Ink Reflections September die. I added some white sheer organza ribbon through it. The Love sentiment die is also from Papertrey Ink and I cut it out of gold metallic cardsock.
So that was quite a story to tell on this card. I hope this will inspire you to make your own foiled backgrounds without owning a hot foil machine.
I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A Large Cross Stitch Card
Today I am showing you a cross stitch card. It is quite large. The total size is a little over 8 inch all together.
I stitch the Forever Friends bear on white Aida Linnen 18count. I used DMC embroidery floss. The design is from a calendar that came with The World Of Cross Stitching 313. I also stitched another design of the calendar that I will show later on. It took about a week to complete as I not so quick about it. I did use white DCP Clairefontaine A3 paper to be able to make the double card due to the larger size. I wish I could get it a bit flatter so it will look neater but I am still practising on getting it framed properly. I do love how it turned out and for now I will keep it myself.

A Cas Card With Squares

Today I am sharing this CAS card I made. It looks really simple and I guess it is but it took me more time then I figured it would take initially.
I used a square with base card. I cut out 2 squares using some nesting dies. The cardstock I used is from DCP Clairefontaine 300gram. I used this cardstock often for CAS cards. It is very smooth to the touch and you can blend on it perfectly with inks. I also used to color my stamped images on this paper when I still colored stamps. And I often print my own background papers on it.
Anyways in the middle I first stamped the little sentiment which says "For You" in you are to translate it to English. The sentiment is from Carlijn Design. I then die cut a few of the flowers from the brand Fantasy. They have some of the most beautiful flower stamps. I inked them up with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. In the center I added a white pearl flower center. So that's it for this card. The trickiest part for me was added the squares onto the card properly.
I will be adding this card in the following challenge:

Sparkles Monthly #191 - CAS

Ink Blending Christmas Card

Today I am showing a card I made following an old tutorial from Gina K Designs on Youtube.
So I bought some 12 inch Mylar sheets. I then cut a sheet in 4 pieces and I used some of my nesties to cut out the shapes. So in this card I used my newly made stencil with a rectangle. The good part is I don't have too use any masking tape at all so it is cheaper in the long run as you can just clean the stencil you use. And absolutely no tearing of your paper when removing the stencil unlike with some masking tape. And in the end it is a time saver not having to tape of all the paper. Just place your stencil and go. I even ordered a lot more of those Mylar sheets because I have so many more ideas to use them for.
I have always wanted to give this one a try. I think hers is a lot prettier but I am still practising on some things. I used different shades of Distress Oxide Inks. On the top I used blue blending over into pink and then blending over in pale orange. I tried to make the snowbanks but I don't have any gray tones in ink so that didn't really work. Guess I will still need to buy that soon. I stamped some trees and a sentiment in black ink and added a few clear pearls for the finishing touch. I also added the whole thing onto a black panel and then onto a white base card.
I will be entering this in the following challenges:

I stitched the design of a sleeping baby Witzy on white Aida 18count Linnen Fabric. I used DMC embroidery floss. I added the stitched piece onto a stitched scalloped rectangle by Spellbinders. Guest Designer Card for AAA Cards

Today I am showing you my card I made as a guest designer for the AAA Cards challenge.
The idea is to follow to the sketch. Originally I made a different card but the ink for the black silhouette turned gray so I made this new card with ink that did go with the distress oxide ink I used.
I cut an oval out of a piece of a sheet with masking tape. I then inked that with Distress Oxide Ink colors Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey. I then added the silhouette palm tree using Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink to make the black impression. And below a nice sentiment. I followed the sketch but you can use other colors and images ofcourse.

Gnome James Is Here

So this is my newest gnome addition. He is from Studio Light Craft Lab and is called James. I just had to put him on a card. You can make 4 different looking gnomes from the die set.
I used background papers from Studio Light in a christmas theme. The colors are not traditional but still very cheeryful. I took some nesting panels to add James too. James is holding a present that I used from a different die set and I think the present is from Marianne Design. I added some snowflakes on the sides and put a light blue pearl in the middle of each snowflake. I die cut the sentiment from Mama Elephant Holiday Word Banners Stamps and matching dies. I then added some die cut buttons. I layered them up and added some crochet yarn to make the white crosses on the buttons. However they are a bit bulky to add to the card. For the finishing touch I added some sequins in matching colors.
I will be entering this in the following challenges:

I added a rectangle star border panel in the middle and added the 2 coffee cups on that. The cups are from My Favoritie Things. I added a snowflake on the cups. A nice simple homemade sentiment strip to finish the card and voila another christmas card done. I love the non traditional colors of this one.
