A Christmas Shaker Card

Today I am showing you a Christmas shaker card.

I die cut a postage rectangle out of a piece of rectangle cardstock. I then added the acetate behind it and added foam tape around the edges to create the shaker part. I embossed another white panel using a snowflake embossing folder with diagonal squares slightly larger then my shaker window. I added shaker materials such as beads, pearls and sequins in the middle of the embossed panel and then carefully added the shaker window on top of it.
I then die cut some trees in red and white tones and added these to the shaker window. And for the final touch I added the sentiment of Carlijn Design to finish the card. It says "Merry Christmas" if you was to translate it to English.

I will enter this in the following challenges:
52 Weeks To Christmas
The Holly And Ivy #189 - Anything Christmas Goes
FarmQuest Country Christmas #23 - Anything Goes Country Christmas
Girlz Creative Christmas #138 - Shaker Card

A CAS Baby Card

Today I am showing you a clean and simple baby card.

I guess this one speaks for itself but I will give a short explanation how I made this card.
I used a small embossing border with stars on a white panel. I then added a piece of white satin ribbon across the panel. I added some die cut hearts and stars in blue and white tones. After adding these to the panel I glued a white satin bow on top. I added a few baby blue pearls on the ribbon. And I die cut a blue Baby sentiment from Papertrey Ink to finish the card. I really like how it turned out.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A Fun Fold Pop Up Card

Today I am showing you a pop up bridge card. I followed a tutorial of Jennifer McGuire.

I used white cardstock for my base. I glued strips of the colors I used for the flowers to connect the front panels. I added some flowers that I die cut from Papertrey Ink Into The Blooms Cute As A Button die set. I used green, pink and peach for the flowers. The sentiment is from Marianne Design LR0749. I cut that out of gold metallic cardstock. A quick fun fold card that will pop up as soon as you take it out of the envelope.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:
Color Throwdown #838 - Hot Pink, Peach & Green
Knutsels & Kadootjes - More Then 2 Folds (Vouwen Maar)

A Floral Card

Today I am showing you a floral card. There is a little story as to how I made the background so read on it you are interested in that.

I don't have a hot foil machine. I have several die cut machines but none that I can use the hot foil machine with so I came up with another solution and to find out if it would work you need to try it right. So here is what I did to get that gold foil border on my background.
I printed a green colored digital paper from Nitwit Collections. It was from the collection Snow Family. I used my inkjet printer for this part. I found a nice border graphic on Creative Fabrica and I then placed the background paper I just pinted into my lasterjet printer and printed the border in black onto the background paper I just made. I then added a piece of gold foil onto the background paper and ran it twice through my heated laminator. I then couldn't wait to reveal it to see if my idea work. Guess what it did. It looks so beautiful and shiny. If in future any of my current machines will need replacement I may buy a Spellbinders machine but for now it works like a charm.

So and for the rest of the card I used the leaves of Papertrey Ink Into The Blooms Anemone set. I inked these with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain and added some pearls on it. The flowers I made some time ago so I don't remember the brand. I was giving glitter centers a try and I saved them to use later and they were perfect for this card. The white panel is from Papertrey Ink Reflections September die. I added some white sheer organza ribbon through it. The Love sentiment die is also from Papertrey Ink and I cut it out of gold metallic cardsock.

So that was quite a story to tell on this card. I hope this will inspire you to make your own foiled backgrounds without owning a hot foil machine.

A Large Cross Stitch Card

Today I am showing you a cross stitch card. It is quite large. The total size is a little over 8 inch all together.

I stitch the Forever Friends bear on white Aida Linnen 18count. I used DMC embroidery floss. The design is from a calendar that came with The World Of Cross Stitching 313. I also stitched another design of the calendar that I will show later on.  It took about a week to complete as I not so quick about it. I did use white DCP Clairefontaine A3 paper to be able to make the double card due to the larger size. I wish I could get it a bit flatter so it will look neater but I am still practising on getting it framed properly. I do love how it turned out and for now I will keep it myself.
