A Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a christmas card in non traditional colors.

I choose dark gray and white for my colors. I cut a dark grey cardstock and folded it in half to make the base car. On top of that I added a text designer paper of Nitwit Collections and I cut the corners with a corner punch. On top of that I added a die cut square from a nesting scallop die set. I popped it on some foam for dimension. I added some wax cord underneath the little white tree. The tree is from a Papertrey Ink Trees Of Cheer die set. It has so many cut little dies that you can combine really nice. I added a small little star on top of the tree that I die cut out of silver metallic cardstock. The card pretty much speaks for itself so I added no sentiment to it.

I will be adding this to the following challenge

Valentines Card

Today I am showing a Valentines Day card.

I embossed the red panel with a heart embossing folder. I die cut a rectangle postage panel from a nesting die set. On that I added a die cut envelop out of brown cardstock from and Alexandra Renke set. I then die cut hearts from various die sets in 2 tones of red card stock as well as some mini hearts in white. I added some foam tape on the back of the white panel and adhered it to the embossed heart panel. I then added this to a kraft card base. For the finishing touch I added a homemade sentiment that says "I Am Sending You All My Love" if you translate it to English. I figured this would make a nice card for Valentines.

An All White Card

Today I am showing you an all white card. Simplicity can be so elegant I think. I guess you can use this for a wedding or Valentines Day.

I never seem to have one style I like. My style is that I almost love all types of cards. So today a simle white elegant card. Unfortunately I don't know the brands of the die and embossing folder I used but they are lovely. I buy a lot second hand so then the brand isn't always that clear. I embossed a white panel with a swirl embossing folder and I added the LOVE die cut sentiment on top of that. I die cut the sentiment 3 times and layered it on top of each other for dimension. I cut another white panel to add onto the base card but I added 2 strips of ribbon. First a strip of white organza ribbon and in the middel of the organza ribbon I added a strip of white satin ribbon. I then adhered the panel to the card. I added some foam tape to the back of the embossed panel and then adhered that to the base card. I also secured the ribbon really good this way. So that is it. I don't think it needs anything else except for a nice handwritten message for the recipiant.

A Card In A Box

Today I am showing you a card in a box card I made for our bonus grandson who turned 15. His birthday was actually on January 18th but they celebrated this yesterday.

I always left one side standing up and I added a board with tools on that. I die cut a whole bunch of tools for different die sets and tried to use all different ones.  On the front I added some half pearls for knobs on the drawers. I used kraft, red, black, blue and silver metallic cardstock for this box. A box like this is so easy to make and when it always looks great when everything pops up after it is taken out of the envelope. If you haven't tried one yet you should really give it a try. He was so happy to receive it.

Snowmen and Snowflakes

Today I am sharing a winter card I made.

I took a rectangle white panel. I die cut snowflakes out of masking sheets and added them to the panel. I then added the blue ink to the card. And then I removed the snowflakes and it turned out so nice. I did apply a bit of blue ink over the white snowflakes so they would be a little less bright. I added some splatters with white paint but when it was dry the almost disappeared so I added some more snow using my white marker. I then stamped the sentiment. I die cut the snowmen from a the Snowmen Friends die set of Cottage Cutz and added them to the card. I love how it turned out.

Snowflake Cookies Card

Today I am showing you a winter card decorated with lots of snowflake cookies.

The size of my card is 12 by 17 cm. My base card is white smooth cardstock. I added a purple panel on that. On that I added a panel of digital designer papers from the Snow Princess collection of Nitwit Collections. I inked up the edge of the designer paper with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink. I cut out a snowflake banner of Papertrey Ink and cut it apart to use it as a snowflake border on the top and the bottom. I cut 9 cookie shapes from My Favorite Things Milk and Cookies set. I inked up the cookies with brown shades of Distress Oxide Ink. I also die cut several things to decorate the cookies with along with a whole bunch of snowflakes from the many snowflakes dies I have. The colors are a shade of purple and aqua or blue. I added some pearls in matching colors to the centers of the snowflakes and I added a homemade sentiment to complete the card. The sentiment says Warm Winter Greetings if you were to translate this to English. This one is going in my stash for Christmas for now.

A Candle Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card I made for my sister in law. She turned 61 and I did put all 61 candles in the card.

The card was labor intensive because of all the individual cards. I had seen these and wanted to make one myself. It looks really nice when done. On the front I have this big Happy Birthday sentiment. Inside the card I also added a pocket to put the gift into. I think the candles are from Concord and 9th but I am not sure as I made this one quite some time ago.

A Floral Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a card I made from a sample of Melissa Phillips but I used a few different things. She makes such beautiful cards. Thanks for the inspiration I get from you.

I took a medium blue panel and I stamped the snowflakes using a stencil with Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch. I used an arched nesting die set to cut to panels. The larger is from designer papers of Nitwit Collection and the smaller is just from white cardstock. I stamped a winter sentiment on it.
I then die cut all the pieces for the flowers, leaves, bows and snowflakes. All the is from sets of Papertrey Ink. The two largest leaves are cut from silver metallic cardstock. The snowflakes are die cut from white glitter cardstock. It is hard to photograph that but it looks so beautiful. I also added some splatters on the flower using Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire. And I added some white half pearls to the centers of the snowflakes.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A Birthday Card For My Sister In Law

I joined a facebook group called Mutsen Cluppie and they have a challenge to make a card like this and they provide the instruction as well as a youtube video. This is my result.

I used white linnen cardstock. The designer papers are from Lemoncraft. I die cut the large flower from one of my many flower die sets I have as well as the leaves. The other flowers are also handmade known as rolled flowers. They come in various models. The Cherry Blossom flower in ivory is also made by myself. I used to buy them but now I just make them myself. Nowadays I only make my own flowers. The 60 number die is from Alexandra Renke. The sentiment die on the label is from Marianne Design and I die cut that out of mat gold cardstock. So pretty. I then added a few fussy cut butterflies also from the Hope collection of Lemoncraft. Such pretty papers they have. The lace doily edges on the inside are from a punch of Vaessen Creative. I will be gifting this to my sister-in-law who is turning 60 in June

I will add this to the following challenges:

Postage Scraps Card

Today I am showing you a postage card made from pieces of leftover scraps from the beautiful Lemoncraft papers.

I used a square nesting postage die to cutt the squares. I added some stitching to the square design paper pieces with white floss. I added a white die cut butterfly and added some gold pearls on the body. The sentiment is from Marianne Design. So this is a simple one today. I hate to throw anything away so this made it a good card to use the scraps.

A Winter Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a winter Christmas Card.

I got a hot foil machine for Christmas so I can't wait to start putting that to use. However I didn't have one when I created this card. I printed a music note pattern with my laserprinter and the added the gold foil on it using my laminator. I die cut a bunch of trees from different brands and added some ink on the outer edges. I added foam tape to some of them to create dimension. I then added 2 strips of paper where I torn the edges. I die cut a few leaves and a bunch of snowflakes in white and gold. I added all the die cuts and a piece of white wax cord. I added a few pearls for the finishing touch. The sentiment was printed with my other printer.

A Snowman Card

Today I am showing a card that I made from inspiration of an AI image. Sometimes I see AI images and I just try to make my card look like the AI image. Instead of hating it I am trying to embrace AI in this way. At the bottom I will share the AI image I used for inspiration and if you want let me know if I pulled it off or not.

I added some ink on the background panel. I also made a snow border but you can't see it anymore because of all the die cuts I added onto the card. I added some trees on that and I decorated the tree with some ornaments of Marianne Design. Behind the snowman I added some presents with ribbons. The presents are dies from Alexandra Renke. And the star of this card is ofcourse the snowman which is an older die set of Marianne Design. I added a home made foiled sentiment which says Winter Greetings if you translate it to English. And I added splatters so it looks like it is snowing.

Another birthday card from Scraps

Today another simple birthday card made from leftover scraps of papers.

I took a base card and folded it into a square card. For the buttons I used up scraps of digital designer papers from the Abigail collection of Nitwit Collections. I die cut lot of buttons in white also and glue about 3 layers together for each button to give them more dimension. I did print out the pink background papers as my scraps were to small. This is how you keep getting more scraps. I die cut 2 banners. One in pink matching the designer papers and 1 with a homemade sentiment on it. I added them on the left top of the button panel and I also added a little bow made of pink twine.

Just a nice birthday card that is very suitable to mail because it is not so bulky like some of my cards.

Happy Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card. I got the inspiration at Pinterest for this card and decided to use the layout of the card for my own card.

I used papers of Lemoncraft for this. I think they are from the Dear Diary Roses collection. I used a Crealies border die to cut the nice edges of the middle background panel. I inked up all the edges of the papers with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.  I then added 2 scalloped circles on top of each other. On that I added 2 heart dies from a nesting die set. I added a flourish die cut on the top left in white. On that I added a few homemade flowers. I always love the cherry flowers that you see and I don't have these so I made my own in light blue with white centers. I really like how they turned out. I added a few pearls here and there and the foiled sentiment for the finishing touch. It says Happy Birthday if you would translate it.

Birthday Scraps Card

First of all Happy New Year wishes to each and every one. Today I am showing a birthday card made from leftover scraps of designer papers from Nitwit Collections.

The inspiration for this card is from Pinterest. A great source to get inspiration from. I made my own piercing template by using a piece of acetate. As it is see though you can line it up perfectly for the stitching. I took a white square and added the little squares onto them. I them pierced the holes for the stitching. The quilt squares are made from designer papers of the Annabelle collection of Nitwit Collections. I used some light blue thin crochet yarn to stitch the zigzag lines. When I completed it I added a vellum pointy banner where I printed a birthday sentiment on. I then took a piece of ribbon and a large bow and added that on the left. I added some foam tape on the back of the stitched panel for some dimension. I took a base card and added a piece of designer papers on that and then I added the stitched square on it. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there. I love the end result of this one.
