Birthday Scraps Card

First of all Happy New Year wishes to each and every one. Today I am showing a birthday card made from leftover scraps of designer papers from Nitwit Collections.

The inspiration for this card is from Pinterest. A great source to get inspiration from. I made my own piercing template by using a piece of acetate. As it is see though you can line it up perfectly for the stitching. I took a white square and added the little squares onto them. I them pierced the holes for the stitching. The quilt squares are made from designer papers of the Annabelle collection of Nitwit Collections. I used some light blue thin crochet yarn to stitch the zigzag lines. When I completed it I added a vellum pointy banner where I printed a birthday sentiment on. I then took a piece of ribbon and a large bow and added that on the left. I added some foam tape on the back of the stitched panel for some dimension. I took a base card and added a piece of designer papers on that and then I added the stitched square on it. For the finishing touch a few pearls here and there. I love the end result of this one.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:
Girlz Creative Crafts #63 - Anything Goes
Pearly Sparkles #115 - Use Patterned Papers
Simon Says Stamp - Add A Sentiment
Mix It Up #81 - Anything Goes Optional Use Ribbon

Till next time
