A Christmas Scrapcard

Today I am showing you a christmas card in scrap style. I took digital papers from different collections of Nitwit Collections. I distressed all the edges and added stitching on the flower paper. I pierced the holes by hand and also the stitching is done by hand. This took quite a bit of time but it looks so pretty.
I die cut some labels and heart. I punch some holes in the top of the hearts after I added some white ink on the edge of each heart. I then added some jute thread though the labels and the hearts.
I added some lace and the hearts and labels on top of that. The sentiment was stamped but I don't remember the brand for this one. The inside is decorated as well to match the front.

It is a bit heavy to mail this one but I can always hand gift this to someone.

I will be adding this card to the challenges below:

A Kitty Cat Christmas Card

Today I am showing you the card I made as a guest designer for the 52 Weeks To Christmas challenge. The theme is to make a christmas card featuring a cat, dog or hamster. I made it into a rocker card.

I used a bucket of Elizabeth Craft Design. I added a cat from Marianne Design in the bucket. I added this onto some designer papers of Nitwit Collection. I used the text circle of Marianne Design and added a red circle behind it so you would see the white words better. To finish it off I added some holly leaves with berries.

Hope you all join in this lovely challenge

I took a white base card. I added a black panel on top of it. I used a piece of digital purple plaid designer papers from Nitwit Collections. This paper is from the Trick or Treat collection. I inked the edges of the paper with Distress Oxide Ink in the colors Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion. I added die cuts from the Halloween Wonder set of Spellbinders. I added some black pearls and a homemade sentiment that I die cut with a label die.

A CAS Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a card that I made from a cute graphic that I had as a leftover and I just didn't wanna throw it away.

The oh so cute santa bear holding a gingerbread cookie is from Creative Fabrica. I die cut the graphic using a circle nesting die. I cut a white rectangle panel and took a bigger circle out of it on the upper part to make the window for the circled graphic. I also embossed a strip using my embossing pen. I then popped the panel onto some foam and also the circle with the graphic. I added it onto a white rectangle base card. I die cut a sentiment with my label die to finish the card. I kept it simple because I want the cute santa bear to be the focal point of this card.

I will be adding this to the 52 Weeks To Christmas this week

I die cut a background panel from Pretty Pink Posh. I added some Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink in the middle of the panel. On top of that I added die cuts from the Papertrey Ink Into The Blooms: Mushrooms die set. I use cream and brown cardstock and inked the edges. I also added some ink to the leaves and leaf branches. I used 2 different green tones of cardstock for the greenery. I added a few clear pearls here and there and added a homemade sentiment to finish the card with.

Christmas Sketch Card

Today I am showing a card I made using the sketch at the Cheerful Sketches challenge. I still had some images left and decided to use this cute bear holding a mini christmas tree.

I used designer papers for the sketch of Nitwit Collections. I actually used scraps I still had because I hate to throw away leftover pieces. I found some that matched together well along with that cute image of Creative Fabric. I only added a sentiment on top and that is it. Not a lot to say about this one.

A Cake Pop Halloween Card

Today I am showing you a halloween card made with cute cake pops.

I die cut the cake pop dies from Pretty Pink Posh in halloween colors. I added foam tape behind the cake pops. I die cut the sentiment strip from A Pocket Full of Happiness. I added the cake pops and the sentiment onto a piece of vellum. I then added some foam tape behind the vellum underneath the die cuts to adhere the panel to a piece of desinger papers. The paper is a digital paper from the Gnome Halloween collection of Nitwit Collections. I added some glitter enamel dots from Carlijn Design. I adhere everything onto a purple cardstock panel and then onto a white base card. Totally halloween but not creepy. This would be nice to give to a little kid I think.

I made a base slimline card out of kraft cardstock. On that I added digital papers from the Merry Moments Collection of Nitwit Collections. The graphic is from Creative Fabric. They have so many cute and adorable graphics. I inked the circle along the edges with a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Ink. I don't know the brand of the bow I used. The sentiment is homemade by me.

A White And Gold Anniversary Card

Today I am showing you an anniversary card I made a while back. I made the script background myself for this one. Please read on if you like to know how.

I saw a nice script background with German language on it and I wanted something like that but with Dutch text. So I made this background in PSP. I then printed it in black using my laserprinter. I then added gold foil using my laminator. It is always exciting to remove the foil to see it it got every bit but it did. I added a gold nestabilitie square frame in the middle and added a smaller nestability on the gold frame. I then die cut a rosette in white. I added the circle and decided to add the number 50 in the middle so I can give this to a couple having their 50th wedding anniversary.

A Pumpkin Thank You Card

Today I am showing a card I made as a thank you card for my husbands brother and his wife who were hosting the annual family day this year. Once a year all the brothers, sister and their spouses get together for a day for family fun and good food. It is usually in the beginning of October when they started the tradition after their mom passed away in 2016. So each year one of us hosts this coming together and I always make a nice card to thank them along with a small gift of appreciation.

So for this card I used a digital plaid background from Nitwit Collection. On that I added a rectangle background frame from Papertrey Ink. I made the pumpkins from an oval nestabilities die. I die cut 5 for the large pumpkin and 3 for the smaller pumpkin. I die cut some flowers and inked them with Distress Oxide Ink. I then stamped the spots in the middle and added a pearl in the center. I die cut some leaves and inked those as well in fall colors. I even used a script stamp on some of the leaves. I die cut a small sentiment in copper metallic cardstock and die cut it a couple of times to stack them on top of each other to get a bit of dimension. I added everything onto a kraft base card.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A Shaker Thank You Card

Today I am showing you a card that turned out exactly as I imagined it would. It did take a lot of time though even if it may not look like it. I made a whole bunch of flowers with a watercolor look and decided to keep them for a later time and now was that time to use some of them.

I made 4 small shaker windows by using a rectangle die from Alexandra Renke. I like die cut about 24 of them and glued them all together. I added a small piece of acetate between the top and second layer. I then added all the shaker bits and closed the square with a white square. I then added the flowers with a glue gun as glue would be too messy for this. Then I lined them out on a 12 cm rectangle and glued them down. I then added another panel behind it of 12,5 cm for extra strength. I tied a bit of string yarn around the middle and added a little bow. I popped the panel on some foam tape and then I added everything to a 14,5 cm square card. For the finishing touch the sentiment in black so it really stands out. I felt the card didn't need anything else after that.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:

A CAS Pumpkin Card

Today I am showing a CAS card with a gorgeous graphic of an orange and pink pumpkin. I made this model after seeing something similar on Pinterest and I wanted to try it. It looks good but I probably should have made the bow a little smaller in the middle.

I opened my PSP and I added the text underneath the graphic. I then added it into word and printed it twice. I took one square with the graphic and from the second graphic I cut a strip of about 2,5 cm or 1 inch. I added embossing lines to the strip. I then adhered the strip to square exactly on top of the other graphic. I then added a piece of white satin ribbon over the strip. I then made the bow with a bit wider satin then the strip on the card. I adhered the bow with a glue gun. I rounded the corners on two of the four corners. I added a few white pearls for the finishing touch. I added it all onto a white base card. I like how it turned out.

Another CAS Christmas Card

Today I am showing another christmas CAS card. If I keep going in the speed I am I will have enough cards for next year as well LOL.

I made a square base card. I die cut a panel of Alexandra Renke with tiny stars aroung the borders so felt that suited the christmas theme a lot. It is king of hard to see in the photo but underneath the christmas moose I added some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. The die cut moose is from Cat Love Craft. They have several cute dies that I can't wait to use. I stamped the sentiment with Archival Ink by Ranger. And added a few sequins for the finishing touch.

A CAS Christmas Card

Today I am showing you a CAS card that I made from inspiration over at Pinterest. I am a member of Creative Fabrica and just recently they have these so adorable graphics available. There are many in this style already and they are perfect to use for cards like the one I just made here.

I made a square base white card. On that I added a panel with the text printed on it by using Word. I then took a small square to make the window in the panel for that cute graphic. I took a small strip below to add the score lines to it. I just used my scoring board for that. I then tied a piece of satin burgundy yarn and I made a small bow to put in the middle on the yarn. I added foam tape on the back of the entire panel and then added that cute graphic behind it. I then added the panel to the base card and my card is ready.

A Cas Sweater Card

Today I am showing you the Christmas Sweater card in CAS style. I made this card especially for the Addicted to CAS challenge. The code word is sweater.

I took a white base card and folded it in half. On that I added a white panel and scored some line in the middle from left to right and up and down. I then cut the corners with a rounded corner punch. I die cut a small square panel and in that I stamped the sentiment with Archival Ink by Ranger. The die cut sweater is from Cottage Cutz. I still had to use this one so this was a nice time to pull that set out.

A Soccer Rocker Card

Today I am showing you a rocker birthday card in a soccer theme. I made this for a 9 year old boy. Rocker cards are such fun folds to make.

I die cut a large circle, scored it an then fold it in half. I took some green soccer papers from Creative Fabrica. I die cut the large soccer ball from Marianne Design CR1691. The prize cut is from a gnome set of Globeland. I added a large number 9 out of green glitter cardstock. in the prize ribbon. The sentiment is homemade and it says "Big Birthday Hugs" translated to English.

A Christmas Card With Lights

Today I am showing you a christmas card I made after getting inspiration from Pinterest. I made it an all white card and I still had some fairy lights laying around so I used them on this card. It is so festive. The photos don't do the card justice but hey I am a crafter and not a photographer.

So I folded my base card and then cut out half a circle. I then cut a circle and added some acetate in the circle and added the sentiment on it. I then die cut a whole lot of snowflakes of various dies of Papertrey Ink. I added some fairy lights behind the snowflake circle. The poinsettia flowers are from Lady E Designs. I added some pearls in the snowflakes for a bit of shine with the lights turned off. It is not a very difficult card but I have yet to find a nice way to cover up the string of the lights. For now I will keep this myself just because I like it so much.

A Love Letter Card

Today I am shwoing you a love letter card. You can use this on any occassion but it kind of looks like it would fit Valentines Day pretty good also.

I made a square base card of 15 cm. I added a panel of 14,5 cm on that. I then cut a white panel of 14 cm and embossed it with the heart border embossing folder of Charlie Und Paulchen. After that I took one of my homemade mylar stencil with a square that was just large enough to add over the part in the middle that had no embossing. I added some splatters with red paint on it. While this was drying I dic cut the envelop of Alexandra Renke. I die cut some hearts out of various heart sets and I also had a die that die cut the tiniest hearts ever. I added these in between the splatters on the embossed panel. I popped up the envelp with the hearts onto some foam to give it dimension. I added the homemade sentiment and another heart and my card is ready. A lovely CAS card for that special loved one.

An Acetate Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a birthday card I made from getting inspiration at Pinterst. I really like the card and this is my result.

I took a white base card and cut the half of a circle die out of the front of the card. I then added a piece of acetate behind it. To cover up I the acetate on the inside I added another piece of cardstock where I also cut out half of the circle die. I then took some designer papers and cut half the circle out that was a bit larger then the circle I used on the base card. I distressed the edges of the designer papers using a distress tool and then inked the edges with some Distress Ink. I cut some leaves in white as well as quite a lot of flowers. I inked the flowers with blue in the center and brown on the petal edges. I added some dots on each flower with a black fineliner and added pearls in the center after shaping the petals. I added a homemade sentiment on the acetate. To hide the tape I added a strip of cardstock on the inside. The sentiment appears to be floating. It did take some time to get all the flowers done. I do love the result for this beautiful card.

A Pop Up Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a fun pop up card. I saw this model on Pinterest and this is what I came up with when I tried it myself.

I took a square white base card. All the papers and graphics are from the digital kit Timeless Memories of Nitwit Collections. I did cut the flower bouquet a few extra times to get the 3D effect. I made some 2 pop up mechanisms to add behind the half circles to make them pop up when you take the card out of its envelop. It is a quick fun card to make and you can put on it whatever you want for any occasion so I will definately make more of these.

A Winter Card

Today I am showing you a card where I made the background myself. I have been searching through my large amount of files to find a fitting background for this really cute image I found on Pinterest. I think it is made with AI. I am trying to embrace the use of AI but still find myself struggling with it. Anyway I was unable to find a matching background that I like for this image so I just made my own not using AI but my computer software.

Here is how I did it. I use Paint Shop Pro software that is still installed on my computer. I took the various shades of blue and made a gradient background in those blue tones. I then added a grunge border mask from a seperate layer. After that I added another layer and added a falling snowflake mask to it. I then added all the layers together and voila the background was made. I so love the result that i may try this again. You can get any color you want of even mixed colors. It has endless color options.

The shaped of the card is a swirl circle fold card. You can buy the die set from Marianne Design. I really like the brand and I have many die sets but this fold card you can make so easily yourself that you really don't need any speciality dies for it. Here is how I made it. I took a piece of cardstock of 20 x 14,5 cm. On the long end I score it at 7,5 cm, 9.5 cm, 11,5 cm and 13,5 cm. I then folded and I cut the corners with a corner rounding punch. I then added a nesting die in the middle with the image. I trimmed the background image into pieces to fit the cardstock and added some die cut trees and snowflakes on it. A homemade sentiment for the finishing touch and this is my finished result.

An Upside Down Z-fold Card

Today I am showing you a card with a fun fold I saw on Pinterest and ofcourse had to give this a try.

So I made this by using a large arched nestability and cut the base card. I die cut designer papers from smaller nestabilities and glued these down. I then took an oval nestabilities set that actually matched the shaped of the arched nestabilities set perfectly and I die cut the oval that I felt fitted best. I also die cut a smaller oval in designer papers to decorate the card. I added a fussy cut flower bouquet in 3D. To get the 3D effect I just cut less out of the graphic and then stacked it together.  I also used one of the ready to fussy cut sentiments on top and for the finishing touch a few white pearls. All the graphics I used are from the digital kit Abigail of Nitwit Collections. I love that she still draws her own graphics and no AI is used. You can resize them perfectly to your needs. I love using her stuff. I do draw graphics myself sometimes but I am not as good as her.

I took some designer papers with red snowflakes from Nitwit Collections. I added it onto the sentiment circle by Marianne Design CR1595 that I die cut in white. Underneath I added a red circle so you can see the sentiment circle even better. I die cut some balloons of Pretty Pink Posh in red and gold metallic cardstock. I die cut the bunny from Marianne Design COL1463 and the scarf and hat from the set COL1438. I added some embossing to the basket using a 3D embossing folder with a basket pattern. A Circle Winter Card

Today I am showing you a round christmas card in a winter theme. I really like how it turned out and probably won't be the last one I am making.

I made a scalloped circle base card. I added another scalloped circle on top to hide the score line of the base card. I die cut the snowman from Marianne Design COL1413. I die cut the hat and scarf form COL1438. I added some white dots for the eyes with a white gelpen. I did added some foam squares behind the snowman. I also die cut a small tree from the set CR1602. I dont remember the sign post. I used some snowy designer papers from Nitwit Collections and added a die cut snowbank. I glued the little scene onto a LET IT SNOW sentiment circle that I die cut out of metallic silver cardstock. The number of this die is CR1600. Below the sentiment circle I added a blue circle to make the sentiment set stand out even more. I then added this all to the base card and another lovely christmas card is done.

A Experimental Card

Today I am showing a card where I tried an experiment and it actually worked. I will be trying this many more times.

I am a frugal crafter because I believe that it should be a hobby and although I love all the designer and their releases it is getting a bit crazy and very expensive so if I can make something myself I will do just that. So I came across something that is called Stencil Butter. It looks so beautiful and when I looked into it I found out it comes in lots of colors but the price of a small jar is quite a lot. So I learned that is easy to make this yourself and I did. You just need to add some Extra Heavy Gel Medium to your acrylic paint to make it more like a paste. I ofcourse had to try this and it really works. I can now make any color by mixing my colors and adding that extra medium I can make it as thick as I want. It does require some time to dry but it is so beautiful. I only need to practise a bit more but it will turned out great I am sure. I also bought metallic acryllic paint colors for an even more shiny result. Check Youtube on how to make your own diy stencil butter if you are interested.

So the card here is the result of the first try I gave this. I mixed some white and pink paint together to get a lighter shade of pink and added the medium to it. I took the Dot Swirl Long stencil of Alexandra Renke and applied the substance to it. The reveal was such fun and then I left it to dry. I guess I could have used my heat tool but I didn't. When it was dry the texture is wonderful. I really had no idea what to do until I decided to make a slimeline cas card. I added some small butteflies inside the circle and added a nice sentiment of Maranne Design. A few pearl here and there for the finishing touch and that is that. I didn't wanna waste anything so this is what I made with it.

A CAS Birthday Card

Today I am showing you a CAS birthday card.

I used a made a white square base card. I added a little white square nested panel and added several die cut flowers in various sizes in white on it. I don't remember the brand but I have had these for a long time. I then inked up 3 of the white flowers with Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink. I also die cut some leaves in pale green cardstock. For the center I added a die cut button. I die cut it 3 times and layered them on top of each other to make it look like it's an actual button. I then added a small homemade sentiment. Translated to English it would say "Wishing You A Happy Birthday".

Gnome James Halloween Card

Today I am showing you a card featuring James the Gnome by Studio Light. He is trying on his outfit to try and scare you. He even invited some of his bat friends but he needs to do a better job because he is still too cute. I made this card special for the color challenge over at AAA Colourful. This idea just popped in my head immediately and here is the finished result.

I took a lime green based card. I added some black designer paper on it from the Gnome Halloween collection of Nitwit Collections. I took a white panel and added some Distress Oxide Ink color Villianous Potion onto it just lightly. I feel the name of the ink really suited the theme of the card. On that I added James in his green and purple outfit holding a happy pumpkin. The bats are from various gnome die sets of Globeland. And for the finishing touch I added some glitter enemal dots of Carlijn Design that I won as a prize at a challenge earlier this year. The colors really matched the card.

A Christmas Bridge Card

Today I am showing you a Christmas bridge card. I love making fun folds as they are just so different from anything store bought.

So for this one I took a white base card. I added the score lines and then folded the model. I made 5 panels to go on the folded parts so 4 long rectangles and a larger rectange panel. I embossed the little panels first with a falling snow embossing folder. I added a snowflake border on top before I attached the smaller panels so the the border would be stirdy enough and hide it's ends. I then die cut a snow mountain border for the front that is about 7 inch width. So the card has a top and bottom bridge. I added a little panel in between to add the snowman with the red hat onto for more dimension. The snow guys and the pole are from Spellbinders from the North Pole Sentiments set. I did not feel the need to add any extra sentiments to the card.

A Fall/Autumn Gnome Easel Card

Today I am showing you a gnome easel card that I made as a guest designer for the challenge over at Kaartjes Inspiratie Challenges. The theme is to use leaves on your card so head on over to join in at this wonderful challenge.

So I choose to make an easel card. I used digital designer papers from Nitwit Collections. I added some a piece of beautiful brown ribbon. It is satin with a gold ege and organze. Very pretty and I have every color that was available. The gnome is from Globeland. He is racking up all the fallen leaves and took a pose for this lovely card. I added a tree as well. I inked up most of the leaves to give them a more realistic look. I die cut the large THANKS sentiment out of copper metallic cardstock. And for the finishing touch some golden brown pearls.

I will be adding this to the following challenges:
